Week 4, Day 3:

Triggers Are Teachers

“Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.”

— Proverbs 19:11 (ESV)

Triggers don’t expose what’s wrong with you—they reveal where God wants to make you strong. That reaction you felt? That tension in your chest? That’s an opportunity to renew your mind.

In The Fight of Your Life, I made this statement:

“The enemy will always attack you in the area of your identity, your purpose, and your thoughts.”

Triggers are not just emotional—they are spiritual signals that something inside needs attention. Maybe it’s pride. Maybe it’s unhealed pain. Maybe it’s a mindset that hasn’t been replaced with truth. But here’s the good news: with the Word of God and the love of God, you can transform your reaction into revelation.

Reflection:

What’s my trigger trying to teach me? And what truth can I apply instead?

Confession:

“I don’t fear my triggers. I face them with truth. God is transforming me from the inside out.”
