Week 5, Day 5:
Covenant Love Builds Legacy
“So Boaz took Ruth into his home… and she gave birth to a son. They named him Obed. He became the father of Jesse and the grandfather of David.”
— Ruth 4:13, 17b (NLT)
Ruth didn’t just stay loyal—she stepped into legacy. Her covenant commitment positioned her in the lineage of King David, and ultimately Jesus.
Here’s what I want you to see: the choice to stay faithful may not feel like much in the moment, but it’s building something eternal. Your decision to stay committed—to your spouse, to your church, to your assignment—has ripple effects you can’t even see yet.
You don’t just fight for today. You fight for the future you’re building. The love you show now is laying the foundation for generations to come.
Reflection Questions:
• What kind of legacy am I building with my love, loyalty, and leadership?
• Who might be blessed tomorrow by the decisions I make to stay faithful today?
Confession:
“My love leaves a legacy. I’m building something that will outlast me.”
